PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Flemington
Platlet Rich Plasma Therapy in Hair Restoration – PRP Therapy & A-Cell
At Advanced Medical Spa & Laser Center, we have been performing PRP therapy as a proactive therapeutic option for male and female patients experiencing hair loss. PRP is an exciting non-surgical therapeutic option for patients who require stimulation of hair growth for hair loss conditions.
Recent scientific research and technology provides the medical community with new understandings of wound and tissue healing. As a result of these scientific studies, we recognize PRP is an all-natural autogous medical procedure performed in physicians offices for scalp, skin, and hair stimulation.
Who should not have PRP?
Patients with history of heavy smoking, drug and alcohol use. Medical diagnosis such as platelet dysfunction syndromes, thrombocytopenias, hypofibrinogenaemia, hemodynamic instability, sepsis, acute and chronic infections including HIV/AIDS, chronic liver disease, anti-coagulation therapy, chronic skin diseases or cancer, uncontrolled metabolic and systemic disorders.
What to expect:
Blood is drawn in our office as though you are having a routine blood test. It is then spun in a centrifuge and the PRP is separated and removed from the rest of the blood. You should be well hydrated (drink lots of water) prior to your visit to maximize the amount of plasma we can yield from your blood draw. Before photos of the treatment area will be taken.
After the skin of the scalp has been numbed, the highly concentrated platelet rich plasma (PRP) is delivered to the dermis using the Microneedling pen, and an additional quantity of PRP is injected into the scalp by Dr. Vuich using a very short fine needle.
The procedure (not including blood draw or numbing time) takes approximately 40 minutes.
It is suggested to be performed every 4 to 6 weeks for a total of 3 procedures.
Maintenance would then be one treatment once or twice a year for most clients.
