What Are Dermal Filler Injectables?
Dermal filler injectables are non-surgical cosmetic injections that reduce the visible signs of aging. Volume loss, skin laxity, and reduced collagen are all part of the natural aging process. These are injected into the face to plump up the lips, reduce moderate and harsh lines and wrinkles, and restore volume. Dermal fillers come in different types to cater to specific concerns.
Am I an Ideal Candidate?
You are a good candidate for dermal fillers if you want to achieve effective facial rejuvenation without undergoing surgery. Dermal fillers are approved for use for individuals aged 22 years or older.
If you have an active skin infection on the target area or a serious underlying medical condition, you may not be recommended for this procedure. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in dermal fillers, it will be necessary to choose another cosmetic option.
Patients with fine lines and wrinkles like crow’s feet, chin wrinkles, and forehead lines will be better served with a neuromodulator treatment than with a filler. We provide Botox, Newtox, and Dysport neuromodulators to address these issues and more.
Your Consultation
During your consultation, you will be able to discuss your aesthetic goals and expectations. An examination of your target areas will be performed to assess your concerns. Your medical history will be reviewed, including allergies, past procedures, current medications, and pre-existing conditions. Photographs may be taken for before-and-after comparison.
Is It Safe?
Dermal fillers have been used as a nonsurgical option for facial rejuvenation for decades. Complications and side effects associated with these products are extremely rare. Any side effects are typically short-term and generally mild. It is normal for some patients to experience slight swelling, bruising, or redness in the treatment area.
What Should I Expect?
For your safety and results, we ensure your injections are performed by a skilled Aesthetic Physician, not an assistant or nurse injector.
After cleansing and sterilizing the skin, our expert physician Dr. Sinha comfortably injects filler in small amounts using a very fine needle. To deliver optimum and desired results, Dr. Sinha will periodically pause to show progress by using a mirror.
Aftercare
No recovery or downtime will be needed. Initially, the filler will feel firm but will soften over the course of two weeks, at which point it will feel very natural. Though there will be some initial swelling (minimal in some, modest in others), it usually resolves over a day or two after treatment. Occasionally, minor swelling and redness may persist longer in a specific region but again will resolve over time. This is particularly true if bruising occurs. . In order to avoid prolonged bruising and swelling, it will be best to avoid sun exposure.
